Founded in 2016, Tilbury Arts Council (TAC) is a Non-Profit organization whose purpose is to support the music and arts at a local grassroots level in Tilbury, Ontario. 

 

Mandate

To support and promote the music and arts at a local grassroots level in Tilbury, Ontario through education programs, exhibitions and events, concerts, artist workshops, public interaction and grant program.

 

Vision and Goals  

• To strive at all times to engage and inspire performing and visual arts at local level for the benefit of all citizens of Tilbury and surrounding areas.

• To forge and develop relationships with community stakeholders, like-minded civic groups and organizations in Tilbury and area whose goals align with our mandate.

• Whenever possible, to utilize Tilbury businesses, vendors and facilities, for the benefit of Tilbury.

• To establish a TBA Music and Arts Fund.

• To produce annually as fundraisers “Art in the Park Tilbury”,  “Tilbury Art Show and Sale” and Christmas Art and Crafts Show.

• Provide access to classes and workshops in music and arts, available to all ages.

• To enhance and contribute to tourism in Tilbury.

• Be financially viable and self sustaining through execution of its programs and events, government grants, corporate sponsorship, membership dues and local support.

• Be self-Governing through elected Board of Directors and provide transparency to its membership and the general public at Annual General Meeting
